This page explains, in plain language, what data we collect on this website, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

2. What data do we collect?

Through the contact form, only what you choose to send us:

• title, first name, last name;
• your brand or company website;
• email address and, if you wish, phone number;
• the software you are interested in;
• your free-text answers to the two questions in the form.

Technical data:

• audience measurement: anonymised visit statistics, produced with Matomo, installed on our own servers, without cookies (see section 8);
• spam protection: the ALTCHA tool has your browser perform a small calculation. It collects no personal data and sets no cookies. To limit abusive submissions, an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address (which cannot be used to recover it) is kept for 10 minutes;
• server technical logs, needed for the server to run properly and securely.

3. Why do we use this data?

• To respond to your request.
• To follow up on our business relationship with you.
• To measure website audience anonymously, in order to improve it.
• To protect the form against spam and the website against abuse.

4. On what legal basis?

• Responding to your request and business follow-up: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and Connected Products’ legitimate interest in developing its relationships with professionals (B2B prospecting).
• Website security and anonymous statistics: legitimate interest. Audience measurement is configured to be exempt from consent, in line with the recommendations of the CNIL (the French data protection authority).

5. Who has access to your data?

• The Connected Products team.
• Our technical subcontractors, solely for the purposes of the service: the hosting provider OVH, the server operator Black Swift and the email delivery provider.

Your data stays in the European Union: no transfer outside the European Union. It is never sold or rented.

The information entered in the form is not stored on the website’s server: it is sent to us by email.

6. How long do we keep it?

• Contact and exchange data: 3 years from our last contact initiated by you.
• Technical logs: 12 months maximum.

7. What are your rights?

You have the following rights over your data:

• access: find out what data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
• rectification: correct inaccurate data;
• erasure: request the deletion of your data;
• restriction: request that its use be temporarily suspended;
• objection: object to its use, in particular for prospecting purposes;
• portability: receive your data in a reusable format;
• post-mortem instructions: decide what happens to your data after your death.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL: cnil.fr.

8. Cookies and trackers

This website sets no advertising cookies and loads no third-party trackers (no social networks, no external videos, no external fonts). That is why no cookie banner is shown to you.

Matomo audience measurement works without cookies, with an anonymised IP address and without combining data with any other source. You can nevertheless opt out:

The website is only accessible over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the servers is restricted to authorised people, and hosting is located in Europe.

We may update this policy, in particular if the website or regulations change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
